Investing in Our Communities
We have a great appreciation for the struggles people face around the world, but particularly in the local communities we serve. In 2020, Interstate Companies began donating a portion of its operating profit each year to the Second Step Foundation on behalf of our employees. The foundation works to make a difference by collaborating with community organizations that not only provide assistance but also empower people to address problems at their source.
Sustainability
We understand that supporting our communities includes being good environmental stewards. That’s why we’re committed to conducting business in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner wherever possible. The industries we serve, while not traditionally considered “green,” have begun to realize substantial financial and environmental benefits from sustainable business practices.
We work closely with our customers, suppliers, OEMs and other partners to build in the latest innovations to minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. Improving efficiency leads to better outcomes for the environment and the bottom line. Recently, we partnered with Odyne Systems, LLC, a leading manufacturer of hybrid and electrification systems.
